Winding the Hips is the foundation of Caribbean Dance. Winding engages the Abs, Obliques, Buttocks & thighs which are the problem areas for most people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

By assuming a ‘plie’ postion(Knees bent), and engaging your abs as you rotate your hips, you’ll target and tone these muscle groups.  Once you have this building block, you’ll experience the rest of Caribbean Dance, which encompasses fat burning, Power & Plyometric Movements. All the energy systems and muscle groups covered to get you feeling great & looking ripped.

IF1 Fat Burning & Hypertrophy:

To activate your fat burning system you have to excercise at 60-70% of you HRmax  for a sustained period of time. Islandfit 1 has you covered with 50 mins of pure Dance Fun! High frequency resistance training is how you’ll build those toned muscles in our Hypertrophy section(Hypertrophy=High Reps/Short Rest period) More muscle tone increases metabolism and burns even more fat at rest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IF2 Power & Cardio:

To activate your Power system you have to do more work in less time. WORK/TIME. IF2

is a 35 minute higher intensity work out. To get in the ‘Cardio’ Zone, you have to push

your heart & lungs to 70-80%HRMax, you’ll raise your fitness levels & burn sugar,

ultimately allowing you to burn even more fat not just working out, but at rest. Rotating

IF1 & 2 will bring you maximum results as you start gaining more stamina and raise

your HRmax.

 

No muscle missed is our promise, so there’s a 5 Minute Upper body Power Weights section and the incredible ‘5 minute Abs’ to take you all the way to your new Island Fit body!

 

IF2 also includes,‘Yoga Stretch’, a 23 minute long amazing stretch work out.  Science shows us that Static stretching is only beneficial AFTER a workout. You’ll feel incredible while improving flexibility, circulation and calming your mind, body and soul.

 

IF3: The Love Muscle; Strength & Burn:

 The Love muscle activates the 3rd energy system; ‘Creatine’. Here you will improve strength & flexibility while burning fat.
